Description

Shinobu 15 Year Old Pure Malt Whisky Mizunara Oak Finish is a distinguished Japanese whisky crafted by master distiller Ken Usami at the Shinobu Distillery in Niigata, Japan. Founded in 2017, the distillery is renowned for its innovative approach, combining traditional Japanese techniques with modern craftsmanship. 

This expression matures for 15 years, initially in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, followed by a finishing period in rare Japanese Mizunara oak, imparting unique characteristics to the whisky. 

On the nose, it presents deep wood aromas, maltose, nectar, and blueberry notes. The palate reveals oily, ripe fruit flavors, complemented by Mizunara wood, milk coffee, lemon peel, leather, cinnamon, and ginger, leading to a long finish with strong oakiness and a deep floral woody scent. 

Bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml format, this whisky reflects the meticulous craftsmanship and dedication of the Shinobu Distillery, offering a rich and complex tasting experience for enthusiasts.
