Shibui Single Grain 30-Year-Old Japanese Whisky is a distinguished expression that exemplifies the meticulous craftsmanship of Japanese whisky-making. Distilled at the Masahiro Distillery in Okinawa, this whisky is crafted from 100% long-grain Indica rice, fermented with indigenous Okinawan black koji, and aged for three decades in a combination of ex-bourbon, sherry, and virgin European white oak casks. This unique maturation imparts a rich complexity to the spirit.
The whisky presents a deep amber hue, indicative of its extensive aging. On the nose, it offers aromas of cinnamon-topped peaches and cream, complemented by notes of Earl Grey tea, chocolate, and pecan. The palate reveals flavors of tropical fruits, raw honey, and banana, intertwined with hints of bergamot and coconut. The finish is long and warming, with a drying spiced oak character that lingers pleasantly.
Bottled at 43% ABV, Shibui Single Grain 30-Year-Old is presented in a traditional 750ml bottle, reflecting the distillery's dedication to quality and heritage. This limited-edition release has garnered acclaim for its exceptional balance and complexity, making it a coveted choice among whisky enthusiasts and collectors.
