Nikka Single Malt Miyagikyo is a refined Japanese whisky from the Miyagikyo Distillery, established in 1969 by Masataka Taketsuru in the Miyagi Prefecture. This distillery was strategically located in a valley surrounded by mountains and rivers, providing a humid climate ideal for whisky maturation. 

Crafted from lightly peated and non-peated malted barley, this expression is distilled in pot stills heated by indirect steam, resulting in an elegant and fruity profile. On the nose, it offers soft and sweet aromas with floral and fruity notes, including fresh flowers and candied orange peel. The palate reveals toasty, roasted nuts, ripe fruits, chocolate, candied fruit, and honey, leading to a well-balanced finish with lingering fruity and floral notes, complemented by toasty oak and spice.
