Martell Cordon Bleu Cognac, a flagship expression from the esteemed House of Martell, was first introduced in 1912 by Edouard Martell. Renowned for its distinctive blend, it incorporates a high proportion of eaux-de-vie from the Borderies cru, the smallest and most sought-after Cognac region, contributing to its unique character.
On the nose, it reveals an alluring bouquet of walnuts, dried flowers, dried pears, and white raisins. The palate entry is languid, oily, buttery, and decadently rich, with a silky, rich midpalate exhibiting complete flavor integration with prune and raisin tastes. It finishes extended, smooth as satin, medium-weighted, and a bit caramel-like.
The bottle design reflects Martell's rich heritage, featuring the iconic blue ribbon and a tradition-inspired label. The physical design of Martell’s bottles is steeped in history, with the bottle shape changing only a few times over the centuries. From the 1990s, each Martell cognac came to have a bottle as identifiable as the cognac itself.
Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml presentation, Martell Cordon Bleu Cognac embodies the elegance and craftsmanship that have defined the house since its founding in 1715, making it a timeless choice for connoisseurs.
