Lot 40 Canadian Rye 750ml

Lot No. 40 Canadian Rye Whisky 750ml is a distinguished spirit that exemplifies Canada's rich whisky heritage. Crafted at the Hiram Walker & Sons distillery in Ontario, this whisky is produced from a mash bill of 100% rye grain, distilled in copper pot stills, and aged in new American oak barrels, resulting in a robust and spicy character. 

On the nose, it presents rich caramel and oak tones, complemented by butterscotch, spicy cinnamon, and clove. The palate follows with a full-bodied blend of rye spice, vanilla, and subtle fruitiness, leading to a long, slightly oily finish that is both mouth-filling and satisfying. 

The brand's history dates back to the late 1990s when it was first introduced as part of the Canada Whisky Guild series, named after the plot of land owned by the ancestors of one of Hiram Walker's distillers. Although it was discontinued in the early 2000s, Lot No. 40 was reintroduced in 2012 in response to the growing demand for premium rye whiskies.
