Kentucky Owl Takumi Edition is a distinguished limited-release bourbon that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of American and Japanese whisky traditions. In 2022, Kentucky Owl's Master Blender, John Rhea, collaborated with Japanese whisky Master Blender, Yahisa Yusuke of Nagahama Distillery, to create this exceptional expression. The Takumi Edition is a blend of 4-, 5-, 6-, and 13-year-old Kentucky straight bourbons, each distilled from mash bills containing corn, rye or wheat, and malted barley. This collaboration reflects the Japanese philosophy of "kaizen," emphasizing continuous improvement and meticulous craftsmanship. 

The bourbon presents a deep amber hue, indicative of its rich maturation. On the nose, it offers aromas of fresh-baked bread, light caramel, and summer fruits, with subtle hints of fennel, tobacco leaf, and seasoned oak, creating a smooth and savory profile. The palate is rich and full-bodied, featuring flavors of buttery rye bread, caramel, cinnamon, and apple pie crust, complemented by notes of dry leather and light oak. The finish is long and warming, with cinnamon spice, caramel, and raisin notes, accented by savory seasoned oak. 

Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV), the Takumi Edition is presented in a traditional 750ml bottle, reflecting the distillery's dedication to quality and heritage.
