Description

El Patriarca Añejo Tequila is a premium spirit produced by a family-owned enterprise with roots dating back to 1920, founded by Don Andrés Z. Barba in the Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico. Crafted from 100% blue agave harvested after 6-8 years, the tequila undergoes a traditional slow-cooking process in autoclave ovens for 8-12 hours. It is then aged for at least one year in French oak barrels, resulting in an amber hue with golden sparkles. On the nose, it offers balanced sweet woody aromas imparted by the French oak, while the palate is smooth and warm, featuring soft oak barrel notes, cooked agave, and subtle smoky nuances. The full-bodied spirit exhibits high adherence in the glass, indicated by the slow descent of tears or legs. Presented in handmade bottles from Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, crafted with recycled glass and hand-filled, El Patriarca Añejo reflects a commitment to quality and tradition, making it a noteworthy choice for tequila enthusiasts.
