Bowmore 23-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a distinguished expression from Islay's oldest distillery, established in 1779. This limited edition was distilled in 1989 and exclusively matured in port casks for 23 years, culminating in a 2013 bottling at 50.8% ABV. 

On the nose, it presents a harmonious blend of Bowmore's classic mild sea-salt peatiness, pepper, and a touch of spice, complemented by a rich port-induced plumminess. The palate reveals a rich mix of fruit from both the port cask and the Bowmore whisky, all coated in a mild smokiness, with notes of damson jam sweetness, spice, and sea-salt. The finish is long, with a mild, slowly drying smoke and lingering rich plummy port fruitiness. 

The whisky is presented in a 750ml bottle, reflecting Bowmore's commitment to quality and tradition. This release is limited to 12,000 bottles worldwide, with only 120 cases available in the UK, making it a coveted addition for collectors and connoisseurs alike.
