Bhakta Brandy 50 Year Old Barrel No. 16, known as "Ulysses," is an exceptional spirit that exemplifies the artistry of blending ancient Armagnac vintages with modern innovation. Crafted by Bhakta Spirits, founded by Raj Peter Bhakta, this brandy is a blend of eight rare Armagnac vintages, aged between 50 and 152 years, and finished in Islay Scotch whisky casks. On the nose, "Ulysses" presents aromas of dark baking cocoa, burnt edges of raisin challah, oak pepper, raisins, sultanas, and medjool dates, with subtle hints of proof that tingle the nostrils. The palate opens with astringency and dark fruit, quickly smoothing out to dark, semisweet chocolate. The Islay influence is present but muted, adding depth without overpowering the brandy's inherent flavors.
