Benriach Malting Season 750ml

Benriach Malting Season is a distinctive single malt Scotch whisky that pays homage to the distillery's traditional floor malting process, a practice maintained by only a select few distilleries in Scotland. Crafted from 100% malted concerto barley, this expression is distilled once a year during the "Malting Season," ensuring a unique character in each release. 

Aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks, it presents a barley gold hue. On the nose, it offers rich aromas of barley sugar, almond fudge, and poached orchard apples. The palate is smooth and rounded, featuring notes of vanilla, honeyed pear, and a lasting nuttiness from the slowly kilned malt. 

The bottle design reflects Benriach's commitment to tradition and craftsmanship, often featuring labeling that highlights its Speyside heritage. Each edition is bottled at varying strengths, with the first edition at 48.7% ABV, and subsequent editions slightly varying, such as the second edition at 48.9% ABV.
