Bastille Whisky 1L

Bastille 1789 is a French whisky crafted by Maison Daucourt, a family-owned distillery with four generations of distilling heritage. Inspired by their Irish heritage, Jean-Marc and Edouard Daucourt sought to create a French whisky using traditional Charentais copper stills, typical of the Cognac region. This innovative approach led to the development of Bastille 1789, a whisky that embodies French craftsmanship and terroir. 

Distilled from 100% malted barley sourced from northeastern France, Bastille 1789 Single Malt undergoes double distillation in Charentais copper alembic stills. It is then aged in Limousin oak barrels that previously held Sauternes, red Burgundy, and Sherry wines, imparting a unique character to the whisky. 

On the nose, it presents subtle notes of exotic fruits, candied citrus, sweet spices, chocolate, undergrowth, and a slight touch of leather. The palate is fine and voluminous, with a beautiful signature of sweet spices combined with fruity and woody notes, leading to a straight, slightly peaty, voluptuous, and persistent finish. 

The bottle design reflects the brand's commitment to quality, featuring a sleek and elegant appearance that highlights its premium status. Bastille 1789 has received numerous accolades, including a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco Spirits Competition in 2018 and being named Best World Whisky at the International Whisky Competition in 2019.
