Ardbeg 10-Year-Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is renowned for its intense peat smoke and complex flavor profile. Established in 1815 on Islay's southern coast, the Ardbeg Distillery has a storied legacy of producing some of Scotland's most robust single malts. This expression matures for a decade in ex-bourbon casks, resulting in a light gold hue. The nose reveals a burst of intense smoky fruit, with peat infused with zesty lemon and lime, wrapped in waxy dark chocolate. The palate delivers an explosion of crackling peat, tangy lemon and lime juice, black pepper, and sizzling cinnamon-spiced toffee, followed by a wave of brine infused with smooth buttermilk, ripe bananas, and currants. The finish is long and smoky with tarry espresso, aniseed, toasted almonds, and traces of soft barley and fresh pear.
